Once upon a time, there was a village named Bharat. It was a very nice village, full of colorful houses with symmetrical shape, diverse people with unified goal, spice lovers with sweet taste, full of life, full of joy, thousands of people with believe in one, they lived and lived.
Time passed by, hope raised high, prosperity becoming dry, expectations sky rise, then governors smells easy ploys to rule the village for generations to come and they learnt how to exploit. Houses become red, diversities becomes blessing in disguise, spices only in rumors and faith were mere tools to attain and remain in power.
After this rise and fall, peace and chaos, it was a realization from all to find someone who can bring back the glory and harmony to the village still named Bharat. They chose one and called them Chaukidar, he was determined, relentless and firm. He shook the village, let looters, mongers and non-belonging to drop, fall and escape through the drain. Things were coming back, the color, the diversity, the taste and the joy were being retained and gained.
Suddenly they united, flighted and lauded, and they were, who looted, exploited and rulers. A unique politeness for the polity, combinations for the community, conspiracies for survival and they all decided to remove Chaukidar for their dynasty to sustain and their power to retain. This time people were wise and they rise above all to save and empower the one who was Chaukidar.
But they made grand alliance of falsehood because realized, only way to remove Chaukidar, to cast aspersions, blame him, defame him and narrate him as same as they are, Chor, Chor, Chor ….. Chaukidar Chor hai.
Villagers asked, what did he steal, they answered “Chaukidar Chor Hai”, why are you lying, they replied, “Chaukidar Chor Hai”, you also looted, they defended “Chaukidar Chor hai”, it is rumor mongering “Chaukidar Chor Hai”, and finally many questions but one answer “Chaukidar Chor Hai”. It sustained for some and then more and then more, and some more, finally they saw the number to concur in the village, which was complete democracy.
I am scared, I am numb, and I am cautious because the memories are not faded and hope is still not shredded. I want and I urge to save this Chaukidar, because he needs us, because the Village named Bharat needs him. They will again laugh at our pain, they will again celebrate on our defeat, they will again connive with enemy, they will again divide us to unite their wish to rule us, and break us to join their chain, which form only through dynasty, politics or power.
Save Chaukidar, because he is Wafadar, he is Kamdar and he is Imandar. Chaukidar Chor nahi hai, it just that Chor Machaye Shor. Jai Hind.
