Candle, dine and wine, at nine

Two of us, in the silence, makes it divine

Did you say something, she said, nothing

Did you say something, he said, nothing

Though world and word, both were silent

It was the connection, which was never so vibrant.

Candle, dine and wine, at nine

Two of us, in the silence, makes it divine

Did you hear something, she said, nothing

Did you hear something, he said, nothing

Though breeze and breath, both were numbing

It was the beats in the hearts, which were humming

Candle, dine and wine, at nine

Two of us, in the silence, makes it divine

Did you see something, she said, nothing

Did you see something, he said, nothing

Though sun and moon, both were dark

Those were the eyes, they had sparks

Candle, dine and wine, at nine

Two of us, in the silence, makes it divine

Did you feel something, she said, yes

Did you feel something, he said, yes

Glasses were thirsty, candles were smoking, clocks were sleeping

Those were the lips, which were drinking, burning, hugging and tipping

Though she and he, both were sinking,

Those were the moment, that was the love and these were the desires, none of them were ever blinking

Though world and word, both were silent

It was the connection, which was never so vibrant
